Label Stationery and Waterproofing

RiskAssess labels are designed to be printed on either plain A4 paper or Avery sized label sheets.

Avery label sheets are available in "Durable Heavy Duty" or "Ultra-Resistant" for most of the sizes. These labels are waterproof and washable, though they are more expensive.

If printing on standard labels, or plain paper, we recommend covering the labels with contact (or clear packing tape for smaller labels). This will increase their lifetime and make them much more waterproof.

We chose 4 label sizes for RiskAssess, based on consulting with many lab techs to find the most convenient sizes for containers and bottles used in schools, and also based on the readily available Avery standard label sizes. The Avery sizes are a de-facto standard, and are also used by other brands. All of the label sizes have an Inkjet and a Laser printer edition, and most of them also have "Durable Heavy Duty" or "Ultra-Resistant" options. See below for details and Avery codes.
